Deana Poole has been in the advertising industry in Philadelphia for nearly 20 years. She was the inaugural recipient of the National Association of Broadcasters Radio Wayne Awards Digital Salesperson of the Year in 2015. Over the years she has created successful digital and radio advertising campaigns for countless clients. Keeping the marketing objective and KPIs in mind throughout the process, Deana can recommend a campaign strategy focused on her clients’ objectives.

Deana loves LinkedIn as a way to keep up to date on what her network is doing and to figure out how she can help, but ultimately she believes in person face to face(even virtual) meetings are the key to networking. In this interview, she shares some of her best tips for connecting and for making introductions, something she taught me.

We met at a workshop I was delivering to the American Executive Centers community. She found out about it in a post on LinkedIn. Deana shares how she felt like we connected immediately and how she approached me right away to schedule time to connect one on one.  We had lunch within a week, and we’ve been able to help each other and make introductions ever since that lunch!
