Wow, curiosity really gets people going! Have you ever noticed how people will stretch to hear what you are saying when you speak in hushed tones, or how you’ll take a look around when the house suddenly gets too quiet?

In the past few weeks I’ve been getting a lot of curious questions about my book launch. Questions like…

How hard was it to write your book?
How long did it take you?
Are you self-publishing or using a publisher?
How can I get a copy?
Are you going to be doing a book tour?
Are you having a launch party?

I love all of the great curious questions that folks are asking and yes, I’ll answer these and many more. Maybe not all of them right now, but over time I’ll get to them all. I can’t wait to share this journey with all of the curious minds out there. So let me start with the first question…

Yes, it was hard! I think it was hard than it could have been because it took me so long to get everything out on paper and then I’d want to change most of it (my own worst critic.) I think the hardest part was when I finally decided to let someone else look at it and give me their feedback (Thank you Kaye Maxwell Martin for being gentle with me.) I think overall it took me about 3 months to piece the book together and get it to where I wanted it, a few more to actually give it to Kaye to review, and a few more to get to the point where I said enough is enough…hire the right help and get it done!

Sometimes we just have to throw caution to the wind and go for it. Throwing a little money at it helps too, when you’e looking for the right people to hire. I told myself, “It will never be done, if you don’t let it be done.” The fun thing is that once you trust yourself enough to let it go, you actually clear the way for all of the other pieces to fall into place. And what a lot of pieces there are!

I am truly blessed to have found a team through a referral from my fab photographer Brenda Jankowski. Brenda connected me with my Editor/Publisher who has a team of experts to help design, prepare, and launch my book. They are like a full service concierge team! From book cover design, social media graphics, press kit, publicist, and so much more they handle it all seamlessly.

All in all it’s been a great experience and I am super excite to announce that my copies of my new book are being printed as of this writing! WOOHOO!! A word of advice…if you;ve been putting off writing a book… do it. It is super rewarding when you have amazing people that you admire tell you that the world needs to hear from you and that your message matters.
